Barry was born in 1980 near Belfast, Northern Ireland. In early life his interests were built on a love of movies, music, sport and people.
Following completion of his Youth Leader Training Awards, he took part in several cross community projects spanning the whole of Ireland and parts of Europe. Through practising the concept of working together, in a country that was very much divided, this embedded a skillset in Barry from a young age, one he has called on throughout his career when working with people.
As he progressed academically he constantly challenged himself to achieve. On completion of studies in business at North Down College in 2000, he also pursued his passion for sports, completing various sports coaching awards on the side.
After 8 months working in the USA developing sports programs in children’s camps, he settled down in Dundee, attending The University of Abertay Dundee where he achieved a 1st Class Honours in Business.
Following graduation Barry pursued a successful career in the FMCG market, which has spanned almost 15 years working between Kellogg’s UK and Kepak Convenience in various Account Management/Team Management & Leadership roles.
He eventually moved on from Kepak to set up 80/37 Solutions, where he has been successfully operating and growing the Sales Solutions & Consultation business.
In further News; Barry became a father for the first time in 2018, continues to support Manchester United (through thick and mostly thin) and despite being a massive movie fan, refuses to answer the question, “What’s your Favourite Movie”.
